A TPO or Tree Preservation Order is an order made by a local planning authority in England to protect specific trees, groups of trees or woodlands in the interests of amenity. It prohibits any tree work from being undertaken without the local planning authority’s permission.
A conservation area is an area which has been designated because of its special architectural or historic interest, the character or appearance of which it is desirable to preserve or enhance.
If you think your tree may fall under one of these it is no problem, we will contact the local authority on your behalf and enquire about the tree. Should applications be needed we will fill them out for you sending all relevant paperwork off to the authority.
